Betsy has been with us 2 weeks which we all agree seems longer. Longer in a good way but normal when something comes into life that brings major changes. Currently we keep the cats and Betsy apart after the incident where Jack was cornered by jumping and yipping Betsy wanting to play. He gave her a fast left and got her eye. We went to the vet and were relieved she was going to be ok after a few days. We all agreed to slow down the acclimation period and wait until Betsy is bigger, faster and more adjusted to home.
With the exception of a couple accidents her becoming house broken is going very well. She usually lets you know if she needs to go out but it can be subtle.
We returned the crate. She, like our past dog just does not seem to need one as she is highly monitored, show no destructive nervous energy, etc.
